Dr. Rahul Swaminathan

Rahul Swaminathan is an experienced AI and technology leader with more than two decades of expertise in computer vision, machine learning, and data analytics. His career spans academic research, industry, and consulting, always focused on translating scientific innovation into real-world value.

Before joining audEERING®, Rahul held senior leadership and research roles at Deloitte Consulting and Deutsche Telekom Laboratories in Berlin. There, he led international teams and worked on the development and application of advanced AI methods across a range of industrial contexts.

As Chief Product Officer at audEERING®, he defines and advances the company’s product strategy, translating leading voice and audio AI research into scalable solutions across vocal biomarker detection, expressive speech analytics, and empathic conversational AI. He bridges audEERING’s deep scientific expertise in speech and acoustic intelligence with customer-oriented product development, enabling practical applications in healthcare, human–machine interaction, and empathic conversational systems.

Rahul brings a structured, analytical mindset to complex challenges and firmly believes in teamwork as the foundation of sustainable product success. He has extensive experience leading multicultural teams across Europe, the USA, and India.

He holds a PhD in Computer Science from Columbia University, New York, as well as an M.Phil and an MS in Computer Science. He completed his Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Engineering at Pune University, India.
