Prof. Dagmar M. Schuller is CEO and Co-Founder of audEERING, the innovation leader in AI-based audio analysis. With more than 25 years of experience in artificial intelligence, machine learning, and digital strategy, she is a recognized expert in digital transformation and the human-centered application of voice-based AI. Her focus lies on using intelligent audio technologies to improve everyday life – from healthcare and robotics to AR/VR systems.

Under her leadership, audEERING has received multiple awards, including the Bavarian Innovation Prize (2018), recognition as one of the European Top 5 Deep Tech companies for Digital Wellbeing by EIT Digital, the VDE Bayern Award, and the Vision Award (2019).

Since May 2021, Schuller has served as a member of the Plenum of the Chamber of Industry and Commerce for Munich and Upper Bavaria (IHK), Germany’s largest IHK. In June 2021, she was elected Vice President of the Chamber. Her work focuses on innovation, new technologies, technology transfer, and data economics. Additionally, she is Deputy Head for Political Affairs at the Bavarian Chapter of the German AI Association (KI Bundesverband e.V.), where she advises public institutions and companies on ethical, economic, and strategic questions around AI.

Schuller holds an engineer’s degree in information technology, a Master’s in international management and business informatics from Vienna University of Economics and Business and New York University’s Leonard N. Stern School of Business, and a law degree from Ludwig-Maximilians-University in Munich with a specialization in IT law.

Before founding audEERING, she held several leadership roles, including Senior Vice President Operations Europe at an international investment of Hubert Burda Media, and management consultant at Ernst & Young in Vienna and New York. There, she advised global clients on IT risk and digital strategies, and contributed to Ernst & Young’s global eBusiness strategy.

Schuller is Professor of Business Informatics and Digital Entrepreneurship at Landshut University of Applied Sciences and a sought-after keynote speaker at national and international conferences. She has authored and co-authored over 20 academic publications on applied AI and digitalization and holds an h-index of 9.
